Guthrie, R. K. (North Texas State University, Denton), A. W. Roach, and J. K. Ferguson. Serology of aerobic aquatic actinomycetes. I. Factors involved in antiserum production and in vitro antigen-antibody reactions. J. Bacteriol. 84:313-317. 1962.-The use of adjuvants permits shortening of immunization schedules, which results in improved specificity of in vitro reactions using sonically disrupted actinomycete antigenic preparations. The demonstration of specific serological reactions and of cross reactions is simplified, specificity is increased, and multiplicity of reactions is detectable by the use of agar-gel diffusion techniques in the study of individual isolates.

Evaluation of effective factors in the optimization of immunization to achieve antibodies against RhD antigen in culture medium

Abstract Background and Objectives Antibody against RhD antigen is important in blood transfusion and clinical medicine. Therefore, in this study, the effective factors in the optimization of in vitro immunization to achieve immunized lymphocytes that produce antibodies were evaluated to obtain antibodies against RhD antigen in the culture medium. Materials and Methods In an experimental study...

Polyclonal Antibody against Recombinant Nucleoprotein of the Influenza A Virus (H1N1); Production and Purification

Background and Aims: Influenza is an acute respiratory illness that is caused by a virus belonging to Orthomyxoviridae family. This virus spreads rapidly every year in cold season and leads to morbidities and mortalities especially in adults and children, which causes billions of dollars of economic losses. Accordingly, development of a rapid, sensitive and inexpensive laboratory diagnosis base...

The role of platelet microparticles in the production of antibodies from B lymphocytes against HLA-DR antigen in vitro

Background: Platelets can activate B cells and stimulate them for the production of antibodies. Since platelet microparticles (PMPs) originate from platelets, they may have the same virtue. In the present study, the effect of PMPs was investigated on the production of human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-specific antibody from B cells in vitro. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, HLA-D...

Production and Partial Purification of the Grapevine Fanleaf Virus Coat Protein 42 Polyclonal Antibody Against Inclusion Body Expressed in Escherichia coli

Background: Expression of virus coat protein (CP) in Escherichia coli often leads to production of partially folded aggregated proteins which are called inclusion bodies. Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) is one of the most serious and widespread grapevine virus diseases around the world and in Iran. Objective: The main objective of this study was to find a s...
